Working with Mwanga
We are in discussion with community pharmacies, commissioners and clinicians about how the service will be delivered.
Our Pharmacy Partner
F. Crossley Chemists
A family-run Blackpool pharmacy since 1955, with two branches and purpose-built consultation rooms.
Working together means assessment can happen somewhere people already go and already trust, rather than somewhere they have to travel to and feel wary of. Most people visit a pharmacy far more often than they visit a clinic.
Clinics will run from Crossley consultation rooms once our Care Quality Commission registration is complete. Clinical responsibility, records and governance sit with Mwanga throughout.

Assessment in community pharmacies
Most pharmacies already have a private consultation room that sits unused for much of the week. People visit their pharmacy far more often than they visit a clinic, and they are already comfortable being there.
We are in discussion with pharmacies in Blackpool about running assessment clinics from those rooms. For the pharmacy it is use of existing space and additional footfall. For the person being assessed it means somewhere local and familiar rather than a trip across town.
Community, Education & Care Settings
Neurodevelopmental needs can affect people across every stage of life and in many different environments. Mwanga works with individuals, families and organisations to improve understanding of ADHD and autism and support more appropriate, person-centred care.
Assessment in Community Settings
We provide ADHD and autism assessments for children, young people and adults in accessible community-based settings, with assessments tailored to the individual.
Early Years & Education
We support early identification of neurodevelopmental needs and provide practical recommendations for nurseries, schools and other educational settings.
Support for Families & Carers
Our assessments provide families and carers with a clearer understanding of an individual’s strengths, needs and challenges, alongside practical recommendations for support and reasonable adjustments.
Support for Organisations
We work with care providers, education settings and other organisations through assessment, consultation and staff training to improve neurodevelopmental awareness and person-centred support.
Our approach is practical, collaborative and focused on helping people understand what they need and what can be done to support them.
What a pharmacy partnership involves
Use of the consultation room
Agreed sessions in your existing private consultation room. No structural changes and no equipment to buy.
Clinical responsibility sits with us
Assessment, record keeping and clinical governance are ours. Your team is not asked to take on clinical work.
Written agreements
Each site needs a data sharing agreement and a data protection impact assessment before anyone is seen. We prepare these.
Other conversations we would welcome
Commissioners
If you commission neurodevelopmental services in Blackpool or Lancashire, we would like to understand where the gaps are and whether we can help close them.
Clinicians
We are interested in hearing from psychiatrists, paediatricians, psychologists and specialist nurses about sessional work as the service grows.
Solicitors and local authorities
Capacity and best interests work is available now. If you instruct assessments regularly, get in touch about how we can work together.
